Prepare your YouTube TV setup for NFL Kickoff weekend
NFL Kickoff is finally here, and the last thing you want between you and the game is a frantic scramble to figure out your setup. Here's the high-level playbook to get stream-ready in minutes.
1. Sign in & pre-check your device
Before Sunday morning, make sure the YouTube TV app is updated on your smart TV, streaming stick, or mobile device. Sign in with the Google Account used to purchase NFL Sunday Ticket.
2. Spot your matchup
On game days, live NFL broadcasts will automatically populate your Home and Live tabs. Want to plan your day ahead of time? Just search "NFL" to browse the league’s page, pick your matchup, and select Notify me so you get an alert on your phone when the game is live.
3. Build your command center
Your game day setup starts here:
- Multiview: Multiviews are groups of up to 4 NFL games that can be viewed together as a single stream, allowing you to never miss a moment of the action.
- DVR: Once you set them up, recordings are automatically added to your YouTube TV Library, available from the app on your device, or on your computer at tv.youtube.com.
- Condensed Replays (VOD): Every game that’s available through your NFL Sunday Ticket subscription is available as a condensed on-demand replay (VOD) on the NFL page. VODs are uploaded by midnight Eastern time after the games air, and they’re available until 11:59 PM on the following Wednesday.
If you’re running behind real time, toggle Hide Scores to shield yourself from spoilers, link your ESPN Fantasy or Yahoo Fantasy account, or pull up live stats and key plays to see how your fantasy roster is performing drive by drive.
