Ask YouTube on Mobile

First announced at Google I/O, we launched Ask YouTube on search to help viewers get to the right video faster. Now, we’re bringing this feature to mobile devices, making Ask YouTube available to U.S. viewers across web, mobile and TVs.

This reimagined, conversational search tool allows users to ask complex queries, refine with follow up questions, and receive results in an interactive format, whether they’re on the go or using voice commands from the couch.

We’ve already seen users ask how to DIY their Halloween costumes, dive into video essays, and debate cutting their own bangs.

Ask YouTube on the watch page, which launched last year, is also expanding to help viewers connect even more deeply with the content and creators they love.

Earlier this year, we added the feature to TVs, and viewers will soon be able to use Ask YouTube directly from the watch page while watching Shorts and live streams, receiving instant context as the action unfolds.
