It’s almost time to reenter the world of Prythian: On Oct. 27, Sarah J. Maas returns with “A Court of Splintered Harmony,” the sixth novel in her bestselling “A Court of Thorns and Roses” series. More than five years after the last ACOTAR book, the community is abuzz.
YouTube is here to help fans celebrate the release with special ACOTAR experiences on YouTube, new content from your favorite creators, and a custom Shorts effect that reveals which Court you’d be a part of.
Your home for ACOTAR
Whether you need a plot refresher before returning to the seven Courts or you’re looking for the latest on what the cauldron poured out for the new release, YouTube has you covered. Search “ACOTAR 6” on YouTube to find all the latest book content. Creators can help catch you up and offer their predictions on what’s next. Once you’ve finished “A Court of Splintered Harmony,” return to YouTube to unpack it all with new videos from fellow fans.
Dive into BookTube
YouTube offers a unique home for communities—such as BookTube—to connect and dive deep on their interests. According to a recent study conducted by NRG in the US, 69% of online 14–44-year-olds watched videos from a niche community or online subculture—such as BookTube—in the past 12 months.
And when you think of BookTube, you may think of Haley Pham—who read the original ACOTAR trilogy in one week. We invited her to step into a fantasy world on Channeling, our series that breaks down iconic creators’ past, present, and future on YouTube.
Find your Court on Shorts
If you’ve immersed yourself in the ACOTAR world, it’s hard not to wonder which Court you’d belong to. Would you call the Night Court your home, stargazing over Velaris? Or is one of the other Solar or Seasonal Courts more your vibe?
Take a quick quiz on YouTube Shorts to find out which Court is best matched for you.
Here’s how:
- Open YouTube Shorts on mobile and hit the create button
- Click on Effects and look for ACOTAR Quiz
- Tap record and answer a few questions.
- Find out which Court is for you!
- Share with your friends and followers using #ACOTAR
Watch for Starfall
Keep your eyes on the stars. As you watch ACOTAR videos on the shelf on YouTube, look closely at the video progress bar. You may notice traces of Starfall!
The magic continues on Google Search. We’re bringing Velaris directly to you—just watch out for falling stars, and think of it as a gift from the Night Court.
