Supercharge your sales with Shopify and the YouTube Shopping affiliate program

Today we’re expanding our partnership with Shopify, so more merchants can make their products available for creators to tag in their shopping content.

In 2023, people watched over 30 billion hours of shopping related videos on YouTube,1 helping make connections between shopping creators and their fans deeper, easier, and more fulfilling. Over the past few months, we’ve introduced updates so viewers can shop for new favorites, have made tagging easier for creators, and more.

Today, we’re excited to share that our partnership with Shopify is expanding. All eligible Shopify Plus and Advanced merchants in the U.S. can now sign up for YouTube Shopping’s affiliate program through the Google & YouTube app on Shopify.

What this means for Shopify merchants: You can now join the ranks of hundreds of U.S. brands using the YouTube Shopping affiliate program to enable thousands of eligible creators to showcase your products at scale in their videos. You can easily manage the program and view analytics, content, and products right from Google Merchant Center.

Merchants can follow the steps here to join the YouTube Shopping affiliate program via the Google & YouTube app on Shopify.

What this means for creators: You’ll soon have access to up to thousands of new brands to tag in your shopping content across YouTube, with brands like BK Beauty, Popflex, HexClad, GoPure Beauty and more already on board!

Separately, we’re introducing a new Chrome extension for U.S. creators in the YouTube Shopping affiliate program to save products while browsing a brand or retailer’s site, so you can easily find them when you’re ready to tag your video in Studio later. You can even find out how much you’d earn from tagging the product in your YouTube videos without leaving their site.

Check it out by visiting the Chrome web store, searching and adding the YouTube Shopping extension, and trying it out on your favorite brand or retailer’s site.
