YouTube built the original creator economy, and today it remains the most rewarding platform for creators. Whether you are uploading your first Short or managing your own production studio, our goal is simple: give you the tools, partnerships, and platform to build a lasting, sustainable business.

Audiences turn to YouTube because they trust creators: fans have real connections with the creators they know and love. That authentic relationship is exactly why global advertisers want to work with you. At this year's Made On YouTube, we are rolling out new ways to make brand deals easier, scale your content with commerce, and put advertising budgets directly behind your growth.

Monetize your recommendations with YouTube Shopping

People come to YouTube to research, discover and buy new products, making it the ultimate home for shopping. With the YouTube Shopping affiliate program, the products you recommend can earn you money just by tagging. In a recent study, we found that YouTube Shopping tags drive more than twice as many clicks as adding links in the description, and allow you to monetize your audiences on Shorts and Living Room as well. That’s why over 1.3 million of you are part of the affiliate program, driving a 13x growth in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) over the last two years. Now, we’re giving you even more ways to earn.

  • We’re expanding our affiliate program to 35 countries by the end of the year, giving more creators the opportunity to tag products directly on your videos, livestreams and Shorts.
  • We’re always working to bring more affiliate partners to the program as well. We recently announced the ability to tag Amazon products in the U.S., and we’re expanding this to India and Brazil in the coming weeks and more countries before the end of year.
  • For those with a global audience, we're updating how tags show up across borders. We’ll now show a link that is localized for viewers, while helping you earn commissions on those global sales.
  • We’re also introducing new affiliate campaigns, which allow retailers and brands to offer incentives, like exclusive commission rates or bonuses, when you create content featuring specific products
