On YouTube, the world is at your fingertips. You’re one search away from mastering a complex recipe, visiting a new country, or discovering your next favorite creator.
At this year’s Made on YouTube, we announced new features that will make it easier for viewers to dive into our incredible library of long-form videos, Shorts, and more.
Here’s what we have in store:
Custom Feeds on YouTube
Curate your own front page with Custom Feeds, a new feature that lets you create a dedicated tab for specific moods, routines or your latest interests, easily accessible from the Homepage.
Viewers can craft and save multiple feeds finely tuned to their varying interests, whether it’s “evening wind down with long documentaries” or “new DIY creators.” Custom feeds will be available for users in the U.S. on web, mobile, and TVs soon.
Ask YouTube while watching a video
Viewers already come to YouTube to check out reviews of the latest phone, skincare brand, or back-to-school shopping haul. At the heart of this are the creators that viewers trust for their expert opinions and recommendations.
We’re launching new capabilities to Ask YouTube to make your shopping journey easier. With Ask YouTube you can ask questions and follow-ups as needed through an interactive experience, whether you’re on the go or with voice commands while watching on TV.
When searching for reviews of a specific product, you may receive organized video recommendations, such as a comparison table that includes product attributes and categories based on your preferences. Once you click on a video that interests you most, you can continue asking more questions about the product directly on the video’s watch page.
From your phone to the TV, connecting with the creators and ideas you love is now easier than ever.
