Neal is the CEO of YouTube. Under his leadership, the company is shaping the future of media and entertainment for over 2 billion viewers
around the world while taking an innovation-first approach towards the creator economy, the living room, and AI-powered tools for creators and viewers.
Prior to becoming CEO in 2023, Neal was YouTube’s Chief Product Officer, leading the company’s successful forays into streaming, short-form video, subscriptions, music, and podcasting, while scaling its Trust & Safety efforts and championing creators.
Neal built his career at the intersection of technology and media, first leading product development and strategy at DoubleClick, then overseeing its acquisition and integration with Google. As Senior Vice President of Display and Video Advertising at Google, he transformed the company from a new entrant to a global leader in advertising technology.
Beyond his executive leadership, Neal serves on the Board of Directors of Starbucks, the Advisory Council of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Board of Trustees of The Paley Center for Media, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Neal was named TIME Magazine’s CEO of the Year in 2025. Additional recognition includes The TIME 100 (2026); Fortune’s 100 Most Powerful People in Business (2024, 2025); Variety's Most Powerful Executives in Entertainment (2025); The Economic Times Global Indian of the Year (2025); Gold House's A1 Award (2023); and The Asian American Foundation (2026).
He holds a degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
