Behind the Main Stage with YouTube at Coachella

Connecting with creators and artists worldwide is a highlight of my role at YouTube, and this year that included hitting the desert at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. From epic performances to YouTube’s artist lounge, and creator events, go behind-the-scenes with me to see what it’s like to experience Coachella with YouTube.

YouTube’s content studio and lounge

Each weekend, YouTube hosted an on-site content studio and lounge where artists and creators, including Alok, Ben of the Week, Caleb Marshall of Fitness Marshall, Ciara, Colin and Samir, Cynthia Erivo, ENHYPEN, Hannah Stocking, Josh Scherer of Mythical Kitchen, Link of Good Mythical Morning, Rawayana, Ty Dolla $ign, Zedd and more captured vintage-style Booth by Bryant photos. Photos weren’t the only things happening in the lounge—Terrell, Jake Shane, and Basically Unfiltered streamed live and had real-time interviews and juicy Q&A sessions with artists and creators like Alix Earle, Austin Millz, Haley Kalil, Harry Daniels, SAINt JHN, Ship Wrek, Tink, and Patrick Starr.

Meet-and-greets

Coachella brings together all types of people—music fans, fashion trendsetters, art enthusiasts, creators, executives, and more. It provides a great backdrop for making connections; for instance, YouTube’s Chief Product Officer, Johanna Voolich and the Ha Sisters! After chatting, they created a fun YouTube Short about their favorite artist merchandise. These types of moments also happened at events like our Creator Collective and other activities like artist meet-and-greets and subscriber plaque presentations for Amaarae, Ivan Cornejo, Yeat, Green Day, and more.

Epic performances

Don’t worry, I also got to catch some great shows (after all, we’re here for the music, right?). I loved singing along with Benson Boone, Missy Elliot, T-Pain, The Marías, Green Day, and so many more that you can enjoy reliving on Coachella’s YouTube channel.

Let the countdown to Coachella 2026 begin!
