VidCon Round-Up: What's New

Whew, what a week we all had at VidCon! We're in an exciting moment for you, the creator and your innovative, engaging and fresh content, YouTube, and the industry. For those who weren’t able to join us in Anaheim, don’t fret, here’s the full scoop of all the ways we’re investing in you that we announced at VidCon: 

Start live streaming if you have 100+ subscribers: All channels in good standing with at least a hundred subscribers will be able to live stream, within the next few weeks. Check your Account Features page for an “Enable” button, and click it if you're interested.

Top Fans (Beta)
You can now identify your most engaged and influential fans, build a Google+ circle with these fans, and then connect with them in various ways with Top Fans. Presently, this is available to only a limited set of creators with at least 5000 subscribers using the English language version of the site. You can opt in to the beta at youtube.com/audience and learn more in the help center.

Partner Rewards Silver Play Button
In recognition of your huge efforts in getting to 100,000 subscribers on your channel, we’re excited to announce that qualifying channels will get a Silver Play Button as part of our YouTube Rewards Program. If this applies to you, on the lookout for an e-mail from the YouTube team in the coming weeks with instructions on how to redeem your Silver Play Button.

This Play Button will be given to all qualifying partners, including those who have previously received rewards, that are maintaining a subscriber base of between 100,000 and 1 million subscribers.

Series Playlists Help viewers watch more of your videos by placing them in a series playlist. When you group videos that belong together, we’ll show viewers of your videos the next episode from the series and a link to the whole playlist. Just mark your playlist as a “series” in the playlist settings. Only available for verified channels in good standing.

YouTube Audio Library
We’ve commissioned over one hundred instrumental tracks to be used by creators however and whenever they want. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!
