On Thursday, August 18, BLACKPINK and YouTube announced the #PinkVenomChallenge, happening only on YouTube Shorts. The challenge began just as BLACKPINK concluded their Countdown Live into the premiere of their brand new ‘Pink Venom’ music video.
BLACKPINK have invited BLINKs everywhere to come to YouTube Shorts for the #PinkVenomChallenge to share their best dance moves from the highly anticipated comeback. ‘Pink Venom’ earned 90.4M views in the first 24 hours, making it the #3 biggest 24 hour music video debut of all time — and the biggest ever for BLACKPINK.
From the U.S. to South Korea to Brazil, fans from around the world have already been sharing their striking dance moves as part of the challenge, which encourages anyone moved by the beat of ‘Pink Venom’ to make a 15-second Shorts video right from the YouTube mobile app to share their own version.
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have also all shared their own personal Shorts to help inspire fans to learn the signature moves and join in on the fun.
How to participate in the Challenge on Shorts
It only takes a smartphone and 15 seconds to create a Short to upload for the #PinkVenomChallenge!
All BLINKS need to do to participate is pick up BLACKPINK’s amazing dance moves from the ‘Pink Venom’ music video and create a short, catchy video using the track and the hashtag #PinkVenomChallenge with nothing but their mobile phones.

After kicking off August 19 at 12 AM EST / 1 PM KST, the #PinkVenomChallenge will run through September 15, the eve of BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK album release, when fans can also expect a special surprise from the global superstars. During this time, anyone around the world with access to Shorts can participate in the challenge.
