Keeping up with your fantasy league

Do you have your punny fantasy team names yet? You’ll need them for Fantasy View, a feature that enables NFL Fantasy users to link their NFL fantasy football accounts and follow their fantasy players while watching directly on their TV screens.

This year, fans can connect their Yahoo Fantasy accounts to Fantasy View. Now, both NFL Fantasy and Yahoo Fantasy users can keep tabs on their teams without taking their eyes off the game.

Fantasy View on YouTube TV is available on both TVs and mobile devices. To connect your fantasy account, visit the ‘Sports’ tab under account settings on your mobile device. For viewers watching NFL Sunday Ticket games through YouTube, Fantasy View will also launch on mobile devices, tablets, and web later this season.

Viewers’ fantasy leagues will be more deeply integrated into their watch experience too. Coming soon, fantasy users will start seeing key plays and multiview combinations tailored to their fantasy lineups. Take a look at the sneak peek and let us know what you think!

Improvements to multiview

Get the ultimate fan experience right in your living room: creating the optimal multiview combination is now in your control. We began testing the ability to build a multiview earlier this year, but we’re excited to now make it available for NFL fans on both YouTube and YouTube TV.

NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers will be able to build any available combination of two, three, or four NFL Sunday Ticket games. YouTube TV Base Plan members will also have the option to find their preferred multiview streams with their local NFL games via select stations.

Multiview is currently available on TVs, mobile devices, and tablets, for YouTube TV members. For NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers on YouTube, multiview will be available on mobile devices and tablets, in addition to TVs, at the start of the season, so you can keep an eye on every first down, penalty, and touchdown celebration while on the go.

But wait, there’s more

Earlier this year, we launched a new design on YouTube that enabled greater interactivity in the living room. The design gave viewers easier access to view comments and video summaries without interrupting the video they’re watching.

Just in time for the NFL season, you’ll also find this new video player experience for football on YouTube TV. Check out live stats and scores from other games, catch key plays, keep an eye on your fantasy lineups, build your multiviews — all side-by-side with the action so you don’t miss a thing.

That’s not all — these updates join some of our other gameday features:

  • Hide scores for specific teams using spoiler mode, so you avoid final scores or live previews from appearing before you’re ready to start watching
  • If you’d like more advanced playback controls to get closer to the action, we have a feature for YouTube TV members. While watching a game live on your TV, select the three dot more menu to find the “Broadcast Delay” option. From there you have the option to choose between “decreased” or “default.” The feature will stay on until you disable it to go back to default. "Default" is best to minimize the chance of playback interruptions; "Decreased" is best to reduce live spoilers
  • For the channel surfers, we have our latest jump to last channel shortcut. Viewers can quickly go back and forth between channels, making sure they don’t miss any of the action. Just press and hold the Select or OK button on the remote to switch back to the last channel

See for yourself how NFL Sunday Ticket is the ultimate sports viewing experience, and check back often to find even more ways for you to make the most of each Sunday. Here’s to another great NFL season!
