Countdown to kickoff: Your playbook for the 2025 NFL season on YouTube

The countdown to kickoff for the next NFL season on YouTube and YouTube TV is well underway, and to get you in the spirit, we’re sharing a few updates coming this fall.

From São Paulo, with love

This year, the first Friday game of the 2025 NFL season will be streamed exclusively on YouTube for free to a global audience. Kicking off on Friday, Sept. 5, at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET / 9:00 PM BT in São Paulo, Brazil, viewers all around the world can watch the matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

YouTube TV members in the U.S. will also be able to watch the game through the YouTube TV app, with access to features such as key plays, stats, scores, and Fantasy View. And on both YouTube and YouTube TV, we’ll have English and Spanish-language broadcast options.

We’re putting our own YouTube spin on the event: Hall of Famer Kurt Warner and Emmy-nominated broadcaster Rich Eisen will break down each play; seasoned sideline correspondent Stacey Dales teaming up with creator Deestroying are reporting live from the stadium; and sports media personality Kay Adams and former NFL MVP Cam Newton will be our pregame and postgame show hosts. Fans will also be treated to a halftime show performed by superstar KAROL G. And you can catch it all for free on YouTube.

Find the game on your YouTube homepage, the official NFL YouTube channel, or on the YouTube TV live guide. Or, skip the game day stress and set a reminder now to be notified once the game is live!

The user navigates to the "Watch With" feature, and a secondary stream featuring iShowSpeed's commentary appears, positioned below the main game broadcast. The user then seamlessly swaps the two streams, placing iShowSpeed's commentary in the main viewing window.

Need a friend to Watch With? Four creators are hosting their own Watch With streams this year, with more coming soon. Get ready for a mix of analytical breakdowns, comedic takes, and everything in between: on both YouTube and YouTube TV, you can tune in to streams by iShowSpeed and Tom Grossi in English, and Robegrill and SKabeche in Spanish.

If you feel stuck between choices, get the best of both worlds by easily swapping between iShowSpeed’s commentary and the main game broadcast.
