President Biden and Dr. Fauci join YouTube creators Jackie Aina, MannyMUA and Brave Wilderness to discuss COVID-19 vaccines and debunk myths

Inside President Biden's YouTube Town Hall on COVID-19 vaccination and more on our efforts to reach younger Americans.

It’s not every day you get to collab with the President of the United States, but that’s what YouTube creators Jackie AinaManny Mua, and Brave Wilderness got to experience last week, as they sat down virtually with President Joe Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci to address top questions from their audiences about COVID-19 vaccination.

What I want is for my audience to be informed. I want them to have resources and accurate information about the vaccine, if they want to get vaccinated!”

MannyMUA

Each of the creators had a chance to chat individually with President Biden and Dr. Fauci, and the discussions ranged from the development and availability of vaccines to what one skincare product the President would take on a deserted island (he wisely chose sunscreen!)

We hope our audience makes the best decisions for themselves, their families and the greater community. We want to provide a forum of information that will help society make that decision.”

Mark Vins, Brave Wilderness

This is an important moment in our fight against COVID-19, as all Americans aged 12+ are now eligible to get their vaccine. As a father of young kids and a doctor, I believe that it’s critical that we help motivate younger people to consider getting their shot. We need to inspire, educate and motivate younger audiences about vaccination with a message of hope that a post-pandemic world can look like it did before, with hugs, movie theaters and traveling with friends -- if we all work to be part of the solution.

That’s why all of us at YouTube are focused on ensuring that everyone has access to credible information about COVID-19 vaccines on our platform. We want to make sure you hear from diverse voices who bring unique perspectives and questions to the discussion of vaccines, to help you make an informed decision about what’s best for you and your family.

YouTube has also paired health experts from around the world, including experts from the Center for Disease Control and the White House, with everyone from music artists to comedians to fashion icons to FarmTubers for interviews around COVID and vaccine safety. To date, more than 60+ of these collaboration videos have been completed, with a reach of more than 65 million views.

A recent campaign called Get Back to What You Love further invests in inspiring younger Americans to learn about the COVID-19 vaccines by reminding them of all we have to look forward to in a post-pandemic world. The campaign is being promoted on YouTube, broadcast TV, radio, paid social media with the goal of reaching 180M users in the United States by the end of July, serving over 2.5B impressions.

People come to YouTube because of creators like MannyMUA, Jackie Aina and Brave Wilderness, who have not only built engaged communities around the world, but who provide resources and information during crucial moments. The authentic and relatable creative approaches they take play an important role in helping public health experts reimagine the ways health information can be shared. These videos exemplify how creators are helping to make public health information, truly public.
