New report shows impact of Latin American creators on sport’s media landscape

The latest Trends Report from YouTube’s Culture & Trends team, "A Football Revolution: How Latin American creators and communities are rewriting the rule book on football entertainment," is now live, providing an inside look at how YouTube Latin American creators have transformed the football (soccer) industry at large.

Key insights from the data include:

  • YouTube Broadcasts: In 2025, Kings League-related videos garnered over 900 million views worldwide.1
  • Fandomification of Sports Content: 66% of sports fans in Mexico, 14-49-year-olds, watch or engage with sports commentary/analysis from creators or fans weekly or more.2
  • Creator Innovation: 63% of sports fans in Mexico, agree that they like to watch online videos of challenges, games, and/or sports events invented by creators.²
