A global premiere: Young Miko brings the heat to Gap’s spring 2026 campaign

Today, the intersection of Latin music and iconic style just got a lot louder. Gap has officially premiered a reimagined music video for GRAMMY®-nominated global artist Young Miko’s hit "WASSUP" on their respective YouTube channel marking the launch of their Spring 2026 campaign.

Young Miko is a global phenomenon. In the past year, she has clocked over 752 million views on YouTube alone. By choosing to "reimagine" a fan-favorite like "WASSUP" (125M+ views) rather than creating a standard ad, Gap is meeting fans where they already live: in the music.

This campaign, which doubles as a music video, is designed to energize fans through the unifying cultural power of Latin music. Directed by Bethany Vargas, shot by Olivia Malone, and featuring choreography by Zoi Tatopoulos, this all star cast of women helped bring Young Miko’s reimagined version of the song to life with GapSweats serving as a true uniform for self-expression, creativity, and confidence.

"Puerto Rico influences everything I do — the way I talk, express myself, dress, live, and see the world. It’s my home and the culture that shaped who I am today," said Young Miko. "This music video was an amazing experience, and working with Gap felt natural because they gave me the space to express myself and my culture authentically. It’s such a beautiful way to keep showing love to a song the fans really connected with. This time there’s dancing, people sharing a new space with me, and I’m very excited for everyone to see it."

Gap has a storied history of "soundtracking style," from Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, and Missy Elliott to Tyla, Sienna Spiro, and KATSEYE. The list goes on for decades and this collaboration continues that mission, using the YouTube ecosystem to bridge the gap between global superstars and their most dedicated fans.
